Get to know Coach Allison

About Me:

I am currently a Sports Performance Coach at Villanova University working with Football, Softball, Water Polo, and T&F Throwers. In addition, I am a private Sports Performance Coach working with younger athletes 10 year old- 18 year olds with one-on-ones/small group settings.

Prior to Strength and Conditioning I was working as an Exercise Physiologist with a Physical Therapy Facility (Zarett Rehab) working with return to sport NFL, NBA, MMA, and other professional athletes as well as general population!

I studied Exercise Science/Kinesiology. I hold a USAW Certification and am working on many more to continue my education in this field.

How I can help you improve your game:

I will break down the sport focusing on it's Needs Analysis - how much volume of running, jumping, cutting, hitting etc is taking place. Depending on time of season I can provide the proper dosage so we don't overtrain an athlete that is in-season or under train an athlete that is off-season and needs to step it into high gear! The basics work but it is HOW and WHEN to use the basics that makes all the difference in training.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

This will be different and specialized for each individual that I work with depending on their sport's demands, previous training experience, and age. I am a big believer in speed development and overall working on mechanics to get my athletes moving not only FAST but WELL. I will do a thorough warm up focusing on each joint and we will go from there building a solid foundation and progress when needed!

Career summary and accomplishments:

I have been Coaching multiple teams at Villanova University for close to a year. I have been a Sports Performance Coach with younger developing athletes for a year and a half. I was working with return to sport athletes for three years.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach that I have experienced in my athletic career was my Assistant Softball Coach in High School. When I began variety as an underclassman I was over looked by the Head Coach and the older athletes. This coach saw the potential in me from the start and encouraged me to stick with it along with work on batting and fielding extra hours with me. She from day one set the tone. She saw what I couldn't see in myself as an athlete. I hope I can be the reason that someone sticks with a sport they love when they want to give up, I want to be the reason they gain confident on the field during a tryout or game.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I was an athlete my whole life so I can easily relate to young athletes dealing with the demands of stress with their sport, school, friends and family life. It is a competitive time in their lives with schools recruiting, trying to make a starting position, or trying to grasp a sport. I have played Softball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Ice Hockey, and Track and Field (Sprinter).

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
