Physical therapist & CSCS building stronger, healthier baseball athletes.
I’m a former college pitcher, current physical therapist and CSCS, and past high school baseball coach who’s trained athletes from youth to the professional level. I specialize in baseball and strength/speed development, with a simple philosophy: protect long-term health while demanding the hard work required to reach big goals. Whether you’re looking to throw harder, run faster, stay durable, or just get better every day, I design training that bridges the gap between the weight room, the field, and real performance.
Whether you’re looking to throw harder, run faster, stay healthy, or simply become a more complete baseball player, I build training that translates directly to the field.
As a former college pitcher, physical therapist, and CSCS, I combine baseball-specific skill development with strength, speed, and injury-prevention training. My goal is simple: help you perform better today while keeping you durable for the long run.
Here’s how we can work together:
• Pitching development – Improve velocity, command, and mechanics while reducing injury risk
• Strength & power training – Build the force production needed for better bat speed, throwing velocity, and on-field explosiveness
• Speed & athleticism – Get faster and more agile with baseball-specific speed and movement work
• Injury prevention & recovery – Address mobility, stability, and movement quality so you can train hard and stay on the field
• Individualized programming – Every plan is tailored to your age, position, goals, and current ability level
Whether you’re a youth player building foundations, a high school athlete competing for a roster spot, or a college/pro player chasing the next level, I meet you where you are and push you to get better—safely and consistently.
Every session is built around your goals, age, and current ability level, but most follow a clear, progressive structure designed to make you stronger, faster, and more durable.
1. Mobility & Activation
We start with targeted mobility work and activation drills to open up tight areas, wake up key stabilizers, and prepare your body to move well. This is especially important for pitchers and position players who deal with repetitive stress.
2. Speed & Power Development
Next we train explosiveness. This can include sprint mechanics, acceleration drills, med-ball throws, plyometrics, or jump variations—chosen specifically to transfer to baseball movements like throwing, swinging, and running the bases.
3. Strength Training
The main strength block focuses on building usable force. Expect compound movements (squats, hinges, presses, rows, carries) mixed with baseball-specific strength work. Everything is coached with clean technique and progressive overload so you get stronger without unnecessary wear and tear.
4. Conditioning & Finishers
We close with sport-relevant conditioning—short, intense efforts that improve work capacity and recovery between plays—rather than long, slow cardio that doesn’t match the demands of baseball.
I’ve spent the last 9 years as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and I currently manage a physical therapy clinic. My work has allowed me to train and rehab athletes across all levels—from youth and high school players to college and professional athletes.
While focusing full-time on physical therapy and performance training, I coached high school baseball and was named All-Area Coach of the Year after leading my team to the Elite 8.
On the field, I played competitive baseball through age 30 and was a four-time Pitcher of the Year in the Eastern Illinois Baseball League. That combination of playing, coaching, and clinical experience shapes how I train athletes today—balancing performance with long-term health.
The best coach I ever had was Pat Prina. He was gentle in his approach but never hesitated to fight for his players when it mattered. He cared deeply about the people behind the uniforms and showed it every day through how he led.
Pat has given back to the game for many years and continues to do so. His example taught me that great coaching isn’t just about skill development—it’s about showing up for your athletes, protecting them, and helping them grow as both players and people. That balance of care and toughness is something I try to bring into every session I coach.
My approach balances two things that matter most: protecting long-term health and demanding the hard work required to improve. You’ll get clear coaching, individualized training, and an honest partner who wants you to get better and stay healthy doing it.
As a husband and father of two, I understand the trust parents place in a coach. I take that responsibility seriously and treat every athlete with the same care and respect I’d want for my own kids.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
