Individualized, positive coaching built around your goals
I bring 5 years of collegiate cross country and track and field coaching experience along with a back ground in exercise physiology, to help athletes train smarter and perform at their best. I believe every athlete is different, so I create individualized training that fits each runner's goals, experience, and needs. My coaching emphasizes proper training, confidence, consistency, and long-term development-not just faster times. Whether you're a beginner, high school athlete looking to improve, or a competitive runner chasing personal bests, I provide the guidance, encouragement, and accountability needed to help you succeed both on and off the track.
I can help athletes improve their performance by developing individualized training plans based on their goals, current fitness, experience and event. We'll focus on building strength, endurance, speed, running efficiency and confidence while developing the consistency needed to make long-term progress. I'll provide guidance on workouts, pacing, recovery, and race preparation, while adjusting training as the athlete progresses. My goal is to help each athlete understand not only what they are doing, but why they're doing it, so they can become more confident, knowledgeable, and successful athletes.
A typical training session with me will be structured, purposeful, and tailored to the athlete's goals. We'll begin with a dynamic warm-up and mobility exercises to prepare the body for the workout. Depending on the athlete and their goals, the main portion of the session may include endurance work, intervals, speed development, hills, running drills, strength work, or race-specific training. Throughout the session, I'll provide feedback on form, pacing, effort, and technique while making adjustments based on how the athlete is responding.
We'll finish with a cooldown and take a few minutes to review the session, discuss how it felt, and identify areas to focus on moving forward. Every workout has a purpose, but I also want my athletes to understand the "why" behind their training and leave each session feeling accomplished and motivated.
As a coach:
-Coached multiple national qualifiers and national championship podium finishers
-Coached a 3x National Champion in the 800meters
-Coached the all time NCAA Division III 800meter record holder
-Coached numerous conference champions as well as conference record holders
-Coached a women's cross country team that was ranked 10th in the country and qualified for NCAA Cross Country Championships as a team
-Coached two NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country Champions
The best coach I ever had was my high school cross country coach who took the time to get to know and understand each member of the team and how to coach them to get the most out of them. He helped to instill the understanding of the why and the importance of the little things and how they become the big things and to trust in your training.
Athletes and parents should know that I genuinely care about the athletes I coach and take the time to get to know each athlete as an individual. I believe great coaching is about more than just workouts and race times-it's about building confidence, developing good habits, and helping athletes learn how to hand both success and challenges.
I'm a coach who values communication, consistency, and accountability, while also understanding that every athlete develops at their own pace. I'll challenge athletes to work toward their goals, but I also want them to enjoy the process and develop a lifelong appreciation for running. My goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where athletes feel comfortable asking questions, learning from setbacks, and celebrating their progress because that next day or next workout could be a big breakthrough.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
