Why Train With Me?

Hi, I’m Patrick Good. I specialize in basketball skills and developmental training for players of all levels, from beginners to professionals. With my experience as a collegiate athlete at ETSU, App State, and Winthrop, as well as coaching at Lincoln Memorial University, I bring a deep understanding of the game. My focus is on building strong fundamentals, SHOOTING MECHANICS, game IQ, and confidence through personalized training. I’m here to help athletes in the Tri-Cities area reach their full potential.

Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My dad - his approach, attention to detail and focus to the game of basketball. He gave us ultimate confidence in ourselves, our game plan and cared for us both on and off the court.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Athletes and parents should know I am ultimately committed to them and their growth process of the athlete. I value being able to critique and improve others skillset through training and film study. The game of basketball has given so much to me and my job is to return the favor and give my best! All workouts and sessions will be a learning, fun and safe environment.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
The past 2 seasons I was able to serve as an Assistant Coach at Lincoln Memorial University. My main roles/responsibilities were player development, player personnel and scouting.
How can you help someone improve their game?
The attention to detail aspect of the game is where I thrive most. Specific details and improvements can allow players to gain advantages throughout their play on the court. Confidence is key. I go at the specific athlete’s pace and learning ability vs going at my own pace and speed.
What does a typical training session look like?
- Ball Handling - Shooting (Off the Catch + Off the Bounce) - Finishing - Conditioning - Defensive Techniques - Mental Aspect of Game (IQ)
