Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I played volleyball at my high-school, with two years on varsity. I played on a club team all throughout high-school and went to many National qualifier tournaments as well as regionals in my last season. I’m still playing and learning on the club team for CU Denver.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was Kendra Adams. She was always available to talk, and she knew exactly how far to push me and what I was capable of doing. She made me want to be a better person on and off the court.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am a 19 year old who is a college student and am working as well so my schedule might be a bit wonky. I can also help out with college recruiting if a player is interested.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I’ve coached many recreational teams as well as helped out on the younger club teams. I’ve been doing private lessons for about a year now.
How can you help someone improve their game?
There are many ways to improve someone’s game, either mentally by watching game footage or even higher levels and applying that directly. It also helps to refocus on the basics and build off of those skills into muscle memory. I like to train different kinds of situations that can help the player know what to do in all kinds of game settings and just getting consistent reps.
What does a typical training session look like?
Depending on the level of the player, I like to go through the foundations of the game first. Starting with defense we go through serve/receive techniques and strategies. Then I like to go into offensive techniques and attacking- either at the net or at the service line. I usually end it with either consistent reps or a game.
