Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Famer Coach Dion Williams was the best coach that I ever had. He instilled baseball fundamentals in his players and he also developed a work ethic in his players that went beyond the baseball field.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Coach Isaac Haynes grew up in Atlanta, Ga. and began his college baseball journey in Washington, D.C playing at Howard University for one year. After two years in D.C, Isaac made his way back to Georgia and finished his education and playing career at Georgia State University. Isaac received his Undergraduate Degree in Health and Physical Education and also possesses a Graduate degree in Education Leadership.
Isaac has been a Health and Physical Education teacher since 2004. Once his playing days were concluded, Isaac began his coaching career as a middle school coach. Isaac has over a decade of experience as a high school head baseball and softball coach. After stepping away from coaching high school baseball, he served as an associate scout with the Baltimore Orioles and the Cincinnati Reds. Isaac has spent time as a national camp director with America’s Baseball Camps. He has coached, trained, and or evaluated countless numbers of athletes as a coach or scout. Isaac is a patient teacher/coach that understands that everyone brings their own uniqueness to the world. He enjoys working with the youth and being a part of their journey in the game of baseball and in life.
