Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
After playing 4 years of High school, where I was an all state player who originally committed to LSU. Didn't do well on my ACT scores so attended a community college ( Southwest Missouri State- west plains). After my 2 years I was all region, and honorable mention all american. After the season I committed to the University of Minnesota. My senior year I was the Bigten defensive player of the year, honorable mention all big, led the bigten in steals, and finished 2nd in 3pt percentage. After college I was able to play summer league with the Miami Heat and the Minnesota Timberwolves. I finished my playing career playing 15 years professionally in Europe ( Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, Ireland, and France).
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The 2 best coaches that I ever had was my junior college coach, because he demanded discipline, perfection, responsibility, accountability, teamwork, and hard work. My other favorite or best coach was a coach in France. This was because he taught me how to be a complete player. I'm a 6'7 wing , with good basketball instincts in several areas. He taught me how to really play the pick and roll, footwork, and take advantage of players in the post when necessary. He was also a great x and o' s guy.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
The should know that training session will be challenging sometimes, but know that it will only make them better. I'm really detailed on the game. I understand that a basketball player is like being an artist, everyone see's the game different, or paints differently. My objective is to minimize the eras I see in a kid's game, or to add detail to the canvas that they are painting on.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
My first ever coaching job was in France. I coached the u17 club team. All of these players had ambitions to play professionally in Europe or otherwise. These players practiced twice a day, 5 days a week. After that season I moved back home to Memphis and was an assistant coach at Woodale High. I then moved to Minneapolis and started coaching (head varsity coach) at St. Francis High.
How can you help someone improve their game?
My plan is to add things to their game, and clean up the eras I see when we are training.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical day consist of a warmup, then I go into fundamentals (ball handling, passing, shooting). After fundamentals I'll go in individual skill development. I will usually go into game situation type of trainings. I would always finish with some shooting.
