a cross-country and track coach with a strong long-distance running background

My name is Yoall, and I’ve coached cross-country and track and field at the NAIA college level. With a strong background in long-distance running and track and field, I’ve achieved great success in those areas. I also incorporate swim workouts to help athletes refresh and recover, and I’ve helped numerous athletes reach Nationals and become All-Americans. I don’t just tell athletes how to run; I lead by example, running with them to show proper technique. My coaching focuses on athletic performance, mental strength, and conditioning to prevent injuries. I also offer tips on how students can approach coaches and prepare for college, helping them succeed both on and off the field. I recently moved to the Matthews, North Carolina area from Montana and am excited to contribute my experience to the community.

About Me:

I’ve run at the college level myself, competing in numerous nationals and achieving multiple accomplishments, including holding a couple of records. I’ve also coached numerous athletes at the college level, taking many of them to nationals and helping them become All-Americans in cross-country and track and field. My goal is to pass on the knowledge I’ve gained and help the younger generation learn from past challenges and experiences. I’m dedicated to training young athletes and nurturing their strengths, whether they’re pursuing athletics, coaching, or education.

How I can help you improve your game:

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with me starts with a few solid stretches focused on technique, followed by strength-building exercises for key muscle groups, particularly in the legs, as part of our cross-fit approach. We then move into speed work and some distance running. Once a week, we also do different exercises in the swimming pool to strengthen both the upper and lower body. Throughout the session, I focus on building teamwork and collaboration, helping athletes support each other to reach their goals.

Career summary and accomplishments:

Best coach I ever had:

Coach Ramirez played a crucial role in helping me realize my true potential. He recognized my talent across multiple sports but helped me understand the importance of focusing on cross-country and track to reach my fullest potential. He took me out of the season, put me in the classroom, and constantly motivated me by showing me what I could achieve. His guidance shifted my mindset and ultimately helped me secure a full scholarship. Coach Freakle, on the other hand, was instrumental in making me much faster. He pushed me to my limits, constantly showing me that I was capable of achieving more than I thought possible. Both coaches taught me the value of perseverance and self-belief, which has played a significant role in my success as a coach and in guiding athletes to reach Nationals and earn All-American honors

What athletes and parents should know about me:

As a coach, my focus is on developing athletes both physically and mentally, emphasizing strength, technique, and resilience. I strive to create a supportive, team-oriented environment where each athlete is encouraged to reach their highest potential. With personal experience competing at the college level and achieving national recognition, I’ve guided athletes to nationals and helped many become All-Americans in cross-country and track and field. I understand the challenges athletes face, and my goal is to help them grow not only in their sport but also as individuals, building discipline, confidence, and a strong work ethic.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
