Why Train With Me?

Come train with me to become the best you can be!I have been around the game of basketball for most of my life. I have enjoyed every team and league that I have been a part of both as a player and as a coach. I have learned a lot from the game of basketball. Not only have I acquired the mental toughness it takes to overcome adversity and any challenges that have come my way, I have learned leadership skills that have helped me in my career as both a coach and a teacher.

Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
Played JV Basketball as an 8th Grader High School Varsity Player for 4 years (Captain my senior year) Division 3 College Basketball Player for 4 years (Captain my senior year)
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was my JV basketball coach. She always made practices fun but challenging. I enjoyed showing up for her practices every single day.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am passionate about what I do. I have loved the game of basketball since I was introduced to it at 5 years old. I not only want to make someone a better player but a better person. I want to teach each player basketball skills and how to be a positive role model and leader for their community/team.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
JV and Varsity High School Basketball Coach for 9 years (4 years as a Varsity Assistant, 5 years as a JV Head Coach) Assisted the Varsity Program at one school during their playoff run
How can you help someone improve their game?
My focus is on fundamentals. Proper shooting form, foot work, dribbling, and defense are all important skills a player needs to learn. I also want to teach them to think like a basketball player. For example, learning how to think ahead in a game situation (where to go on the court, when to shoot the ball, when to pass, etc.).
What does a typical training session look like?
My training session would be broken down into 4 parts (15 minutes each). Various dribbling, shooting, defense, passing, game situation drills will fill those 15 minute blocks depending on the needs of the player.
