Coach Su brings over 15 years of volleyball experience, combining her playing, coaching, and administrative expertise. She fell in love with the sport at age 12 and her passion for volleyball has only grown since then.
In high school, Coach Su's talent earned her all-conference and all-district honors, and she was selected to play in the Terrific 21 all-star match, representing the state of Ohio alongside many other standout volleyball players. Her impressive performance set the stage for her collegiate career.
At Bethany College, Coach Su had a stellar career as a Bison. Coach Su graduated in 2018 with high honors, graduating Cum Laude. She held the record for third all-time in career assisted blocks with 227 and previously held the record for fifth in blocks in a single season. Her game-winning kill against DII Thomas More College sealed Bethany College's first-ever Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) championship in 2016. The 2016 team also became the first to advance to the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament.
During her junior season, Coach Su helped lead Bethany to an impressive 25-10 record with a 15-2 conference record, paired with an 18-game winning streak to clinch the conference title. Over her tenure, the Bison achieved a PAC championship, three ECAC appearances, two PAC championship appearances, and one NCAA Tournament appearance.
Coach Su earned ALL-PAC First Team honors, Player of the Week honors, in addition to being named the College’s Female Athlete of the Year. Coach Su was also the recipient of the prestigious “Iron Bison” award for her exceptional offseason and preseason fitness test results.
Coach Su’s coaching experience is equally impressive. At Ohio Valley Volleyball Company, she served as Assistant Director as well as Training & Development Coordinator, as well as head coach for the 15u elite and 12u teams. While at Bethany College, Coach Su served under Head Coach Courtney Hilyer as the Women’s Volleyball Graduate Assistant Coach, and helped lead them to their 12th straight conference championship appearance. As the JV Head Coach, she led the Junior Varsity program to a remarkable 16-4 record. Her coaching career also includes stints at Thunder Volleyball Club, Boomer's Volleyball Academy, Vipers Volleyball Club, and Rival Volleyball Club where she consistently led teams to success.

I help players improve their game by taking a truly personalized approach to their development. With extensive knowledge in front-row attacking, blocking, middle play, defense, and serve receive, I tailor each session to the individual athlete, focusing on their specific strengths and areas for growth. I combine physical training with mental exercises to help players not only sharpen their skills but also develop confidence, game IQ, and the ability to perform under pressure. My goal is to help every athlete feel empowered, prepared, and ready to excel in any position on the court.
Warm-Up (10 minutes)
Warm-up is tailored to the athlete and the specific skills we’ll be focusing on.
Could include dynamic stretching, mobility exercises, or sport-specific movements like approach footwork, blocking steps, or passing shuffles.
Light ball-handling drills to build touch and coordination.
Skill Development (20 minutes)
Targeted drills based on the athlete’s position and goals (e.g., attacking angles, blocking timing, serve receive technique, or defensive positioning).
Emphasis on proper mechanics and repetition to build muscle memory.
Mental Exercises (10 minutes)
Visualization exercises to simulate in-game scenarios and build focus.
Quick decision-making and reaction drills to enhance court awareness and confidence under pressure.
Game Situations (15 minutes)
Apply skills in live-action drills, like controlled scrimmages or situational setups (e.g., reading a hitter on defense or executing an attack against a block).
Real-time feedback and adjustments to improve execution and strategy.
Cool Down & Review (5 minutes)
Static stretching and mobility exercises for recovery.
Quick review to highlight progress, discuss challenges, and set clear goals for the next session.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
