Athletes Untapped announced a new partnership with Every Kid Sports, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping kids in the game by covering youth sports registration fees for families who need support.
As part of the partnership, Athletes Untapped is pledging 1% of its annual profits to Every Kid Sports’ “We Pay, Kids Play” campaign, which removes cost as a barrier to youth sports participation.
“Athletes Untapped is deeply committed to making the youth sports experience great for all kids,” said founder, Gene Williams. “Whether it’s local rec leagues, travel sports, or private coaching, we know the positive impact sports can have on a young person’s life and we’re excited to get involved here.”
The companies say the partnership is rooted in a shared history as much as a shared mission. Both organizations were built from the ground up by founders who went unpaid for more than five years to keep their core businesses running. That shared foundation shapes how each organization operates today, with families and coaches placed first before anything else.
“Athletes Untapped gets it, sports change kids’ lives,” said Eleana Fanaika, Executive Director of Every Kid Sports. “We’re proud to partner with a platform that’s making great coaching more accessible, and we look forward to amplifying each other’s work. Because every kid deserves the chance to play.”
Athletes Untapped currently operates a nationwide marketplace connecting families with over 4,000 vetted private coaches across 16 sports. The company said the partnership reflects its broader commitment to expanding access to youth sports, not just for families who can pay for private coaching, but for kids who might otherwise be priced out of playing at all.
