Personalized Lessons With The Best football
Trainers in Carmel Mountain Ranch

“If you or your child are serious at all about getting better at the QB position, you have a golden opportunity right in front of you. He blends the nuances of the position with many different drills that are both fun and challenging. We’ve covered so many things from footwork, ball placement, displacing the hip, and mesh technique. The best part, he’s an even better young man and is an inspiration for my son.”

“He is getting my 14 yr old ready for high school football. My son is hoping to be starting quarterback next season. They are working on footwork, mechanics, reading defense & speed & agility. Looking forward to continued training.”

Danielle

Football Parent

“We just had our first session and I can’t say enough great things. My son is playing tackle for the first time as an offensive lineman and his session with Coach helped him tremendously. It’s hard to find a good offensive line coach and we feel fortunate to have found him.”

Why We Created Athletes Untapped

Carmel Mountain Ranch Line Starts: First-Three-Step Power, Pad-Level Consistency, and Hand Placement Accuracy

Athletes Untapped begins trench work on grass where the ground can get firm and unforgiving, which makes sloppy posture show fast. Our coaches teach that the first three steps decide the rep, so we build power from the ground up without popping upright. We’ll run “step-count” reps where linemen must hit a precise three-step sequence before any contact is allowed, then finish with controlled hand placement into a pad. Athletes usually feel the difference when they stop lunging and start driving in a straight line.

Receiver Separation Craft: Release Variations, Stem Tempo, and Late Hands at the Catch Point

Defenders in local leagues catch on quickly if releases look the same every time. Our coaches want receivers to change tempo and body language so corners can’t sit on routes. We’ll do “mirror releases,” where a defender shadows the first two steps, and the receiver must win leverage without grabbing, then catch with late hands as the ball arrives, while Athletes Untapped staff cues where eyes should be to sell the stem. Athletes feel a real shift when routes start looking less predictable and more controlled.

Linebacker Processing: Read Steps, Gap Fits, and Safe Leverage Tackling Mechanics

Athletes Untapped teaches linebackers to play slower in the brain so they can play faster with their feet. Our coaches focus on reading surfaces and shoulders, not just chasing the ball. We’ll run “flash read” drills where coaches show run/pass keys for a split second, then athletes must fit the right gap and finish with a wrap-and-squeeze tackle into a bag. Players often notice they feel calmer because they’re reacting to information, not guessing.

Quarterback Stability: Pocket Movement, Platform Control, and Quick Window Throws

Crowded practices can make quarterbacks drift unnecessarily and throw off-balance. Our coaches believe a QB should move just enough to stay clean, then deliver from a stable platform. We’ll use “box pocket” reps where the QB must stay inside a taped square, slide on command, and throw to a target that appears late, with Athletes Untapped coaches grading foot calmness as much as completion. Athletes often feel relief when accuracy improves without needing a stronger arm.

Special Teams Speed: Lane Integrity, Tracking Angles, and Controlled Contact Finishes

Special teams can turn chaotic when athletes sprint with no plan. Our coaches teach lane integrity like a promise: you hold your path so the unit stays connected. We’ll run “lane chess,” where each player owns a lane and must adjust angle based on the returner’s cut while still keeping spacing, and Athletes Untapped staff rewards disciplined finishes over highlight hits. Athletes start enjoying it when they feel how team structure creates speed.
