12 year competitive gymnast, attended college on a springboard diving scholarship. Was a four time national qualifier and two time All American.
At the base of every athlete, is a foundation of strength, coordination, and body awareness. As athletes continue to grow, develop, and thrive in their sport, this base is built on with speed, change of direction, acceleration, core stability, and overall strength. I have experience in all of these facets and am confident in my abilities to help your athlete reach the next level. This not overnight fix, but a steady incline of progression and teaching reactionary movements. Whether you're a swimmer, or a baseball player, or just want to get stronger and learn to navigate a weight room. I can help coach and teach not only physical strength, but be a mentor who helps build confidence, mental strength, and dedication.
Depending on the sport, age and ability of an athlete, and their individual goals- sessions could look a few ways. Regardless, they will always with a proper warmup to help with blood-flow, mobility, and muscle activation. Programming would follow a performance block where any plyometric, agility, speed work would be completed. All body weight, working on overall coordination and whatever sport specifics are applicable. Followed by strength where any weights would be introduced, going over form, compound movements, fatiguing the muscles to help build strength. Followed by any Isolation, core stability, or cardio conditioning to help increase cardiovascular output ability. This is a standard breakdown, but is circumstantial to the athlete and can be adjusted and changed as needed.
After ending my athletic career in 2019, I went on to be the assistant coach for my University's Dive Team, as well as the Graduate Assistant for the Strength and Conditioning program. In this time, I found a passion for coaching, learning, and strength training in my own life. I graduated and got my Personal Training License and starting working as a personal trainer to the general public at a community center. Additionally, I was coaching a highschool dive team. In 2021, I moved to California and accepted a position as The Head Dive Coach at The University of California, San Diego. Along with this position came working closely with the strength coaches to create Dive specific programming to best assist the athletes in their respected sport. On top Collegiate recruiting, this position allowed me to grow as a coach at high level, and work with athletes of various abilities. I saw firsthand the value of sport specific strength training implemented into an athletes routine, and the therefore the growth in their ability and success. That position ended in 2023 and I continued into personal training all ages, functional group fitness, group performance training for soccer and baseball teams, and injury prevention/ return to play coaching at a physical therapy clinic. I moved to Florida in August of 2024 and started coaching as a strength and speed coach at a facility in gulf breeze that specializes with middle school and highschool athletes.
The best coach I ever had was my highschool dive coach. He was incredibly patient as I transitioned into a new sport and pushed me to believe in my capabilities. He took time to learn what kind of coaching I reacted well to and helped me see the value in my training. I would not have pursued a collegiate athletic career without his belief in me and guidance. He taught me that hardwork beats talent, and that extreme dedication translates into your life beyond athletic careers.
I'm very passionate about working with young athletes and teaching foundational plyometric and strength training. As a lifelong athlete I love getting to relate my experiences to my coaching and help athletes reach their goals. I'm new to Florida, but my athletes back home continue to reach out to me for programming, and guidance as they look to get recruited for college athletics.
