Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My High School assistant coach was and still is one of my favorite coaches I have ever had. I absolutely love her with my whole heart. She was so patient with me and once I understood the concepts began to make them more complicated to get me better. Her coaching ways have stuck with me and I aspire to be like her as much as I can and I base how I coach off of her.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am totally willing to change and adapt drills based on your athletes needs. No matter your athlete's skill level we will work together to create a plan that will help them get better. As a person who really loves when someone is able to slow something down and explain it better, I would love to help your athlete in the same way.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I have coached years of youth sports in a variety of sports. Included in those being coached basketball, lacrosse and swim.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I help players improve their game by focusing on both the fundamentals and the mental aspects of lacrosse. First and foremost, I break down core skills—like stick handling, shooting, and defensive positioning—so players can execute them with confidence. But it doesn’t stop there. I believe in creating a mindset of growth, where players embrace challenges, push their limits, and stay composed under pressure. I tailor each session to meet individual needs, offering constructive feedback and personalized drills that focus on specific areas of improvement. My coaching style encourages a balance between hard work, creativity, and teamwork, helping players develop not only as athletes but as leaders on the field. By understanding each player's strengths and weaknesses, I ensure they are always progressing and playing smarter, not just harder.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical session starts with a dynamic warm-up to get players ready, followed by focused skill drills like stick handling, shooting, and defense. I emphasize repetition for muscle memory and confidence. Next, we move into situational drills, simulating game scenarios to help players make decisions under pressure. We wrap up with small-sided games or scrimmages to work on teamwork and applying skills in a real-game setting. Throughout, I give individual feedback to encourage growth, boost confidence, and help players improve both as athletes and teammates.
