Coach MK, also known as the SAQ Man, has an outstanding track record in athletics and academics. As a youth, a consistent Junior Olympic qualifier, showcasing my talent early on. Set a school record during middle school years and went on to become a two-time MVP of the Serra High School track team, earning recognition as the Daily Breeze Athlete of the Month and receiving numerous articles highlighting high school accomplishments.
Previously held the record for the prestigious Redondo Union Invitational and excelled as a Division I athlete at the University of Arizona, where I made a mark as the third-fastest freshman in the Pac-12. Collegiate success continued as you became a three-time NCAA Division II All-American and a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic athlete, while also holding multiple school records at the Academy of Art University.
Graduating from both high school and college with honors, I have complemented my athletic prowess with academic excellence. Additionally, a certified personal trainer, ready to share my expertise and help others achieve their athletic goals. My journey is a testament to your dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence in both sports and education.
To help someone improve their game, I would start by assessing their current skills to identify strengths and weaknesses, which allows for a personalized training plan focused on their specific needs. Together, we would set clear, realistic goals that aim to enhance various aspects of their performance, such as speed, agility, and technique. Emphasizing the fundamentals is crucial, ensuring that they have a strong foundation in the basic skills of their sport, including proper technique and movement patterns. I would then create a structured training regimen that incorporates drills targeting speed, explosiveness, and mental conditioning, fostering resilience and confidence. Throughout the training process, I would provide constructive feedback to guide their progress, celebrate improvements, and keep them motivated and engaged in their journey towards achieving their athletic goals.
For a typical training session, we begin with a warm and engaging conversation about life, where I check in on the athlete’s well-being and discuss what they learned in school that day. This helps build a strong rapport and creates a positive atmosphere for training. After our chat, we carefully transition into a deep and critical warm-up designed to get the body fluids flowing and prepare the athlete for the workout ahead. Following the warm-up, we dive into a focused and effective workout tailored to their specific goals. Each session concludes with core exercises to strengthen their midsection, followed by a cool-down period to promote recovery and reflect on the day’s achievements. This structured approach not only enhances physical performance but also supports mental and emotional well-being.
I began my coaching journey under the guidance of mentor Coach Chris, where he honed my skills by training athletes during school breaks. This foundational experience ignited my passion for coaching and athlete development. Recognizing my potential, Coach Chris brought him onto his coaching staff at St. Francis High School, where he further refined my techniques and strategies for training young athletes. Building on this experience, I then secured a position as a speed performance coach at Speed Hawse, a renowned gym in El Segundo. Here, I specialized in developing athletes' speed, agility, and overall performance, utilizing my extensive knowledge and firsthand experience as a competitive athlete. My journey reflects a commitment to excellence in coaching, with a focus on empowering athletes to reach their full potential.
The best coach I ever had was Coach Chris Mack of New Image Training Group. With over 30 years coaching he has racked up many accolades. CIF state titles and helping athletes receive scholarships. He is the best mentor by not always teaching and advising. He leads by example, and shows youth how an adult should carry themselves. He has helped me acquire job positions and skills I needed to become a coach myself.
As a dedicated coach and mentor, I understand the importance of fostering a positive and supportive environment for young athletes. Parents should know that I prioritize not only athletic development but also the overall growth of their children. With a strong background as a three-time NCAA All-American and a certified personal trainer, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my training sessions.
I focus on building confidence, discipline, and a winning mentality in each athlete, ensuring they not only excel in their sport but also develop valuable life skills. My emphasis on technique, efficiency, and mental fortitude helps young athletes reach their full potential while instilling a passion for the sport.
Moreover, I am committed to providing personalized training plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each athlete, ensuring they feel supported in their journey. Parents can trust that their children will be guided with care, expertise, and a genuine interest in their success, both on and off the track.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section.
