My name is Phillip Baptiste, and I’m the founder of Bornballer Academy. I’ve spent my entire life around the game of football, from growing up in Fort Worth and Copperas Cove, to becoming a record-setting high school receiver, to earning a Division I scholarship and First Team All-Conference honors at the University of the Incarnate Word.
My journey was shaped by coaches, trainers, and mentors who believed in me and pushed me to reach my full potential. Now, I’m committed to doing the same for today’s athletes.
I specialize in wide receiver development, strength & conditioning, speed & agility, and flexibility & mobility. My training focuses on fundamentals, technique, confidence, and a winning mindset. Whether your athlete is trying to earn a starting spot, get recruited, or simply improve their skills, I provide the structure, accountability, and expertise they need to grow.

I improve your game by sharpening your fundamentals, building real speed and strength, teaching you the details that separate good players from great ones, and giving you the mindset to compete with confidence.
Every training session is structured, intentional, and designed to help your athlete get stronger, faster, and more explosive. We begin with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body, improve mobility, and reduce injury risk. This ensures athletes are activated, focused, and ready to perform.
From there, we move into speed and movement development, working on mechanics, footwork, acceleration, change of direction, and overall athletic efficiency. These drills help athletes move with better control, balance, and confidence.
Next, we transition into the strength and power portion of the session. This includes foundational strength work, explosiveness training, plyometrics, and movement patterns that directly translate to better performance on the field or court. Every lift and drill is coached with purpose to build durability, strength, and athletic power.
We finish each session with conditioning, mobility work, and coaching notes so athletes understand what they did well and what they need to keep improving.
The structure is consistent, the coaching is detailed, and the results are designed to help any athlete, no matter the sport, take their game to the next level.
Former Division I wide receiver and record-setting athlete from Fort Worth and Copperas Cove, TX. In high school, broke the single-season receiving record at Copperas Cove, finishing with 113 catches, 1,556 yards, and 18 touchdowns. Went on to win two conference championships at Trinity Valley Community College before earning a Division I scholarship to the University of the Incarnate Word, where I became a First Team All-Conference wide receiver with 56 catches, 950 yards, and 10 touchdowns. Today, I use my experience and proven success to train and mentor athletes through Bornballer Academy, specializing in athletic development, strength, speed, and wide receiver skill training.

Meet your coach in-person or virtually, and start chasing down your goals!
If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
