I help runners go from just getting it done to running smoother and faster.

As a personal running coach, my goal is to help you become a complete runner – not just someone who “logs miles,” but someone who understands their body, their mind, and their training. I’m a Track & Field and Cross Country athlete (decathlete and distance runner), and I work with runners of all ages and levels, from beginners taking their first steps to Masters athletes chasing big goals. In our in-person sessions, I focus on every pillar of performance: running technique, mindset, smart training structure, and, very importantly, enjoyment. We work on running form in detail – posture, foot strike, cadence, arm drive, using specific drills so you can run more efficiently, reduce injury risk, and feel smoother with every stride. At the same time, I teach you how to manage the discomfort of running when it gets tough, how to stay calm when it starts to hurt, and how to use simple mental tools (focus cues, positive self-talk, breathing, even smiling) to get more out of yourself without feeling out of control. Your training is not random: I explain how and why we combine aerobic and anaerobic work: easy runs, tempo, intervals, strength, and mobility, so you know exactly what each session is doing for you. My coaching style is structured but friendly: I like to keep things fun with varied drills, clear feedback, and small challenges that make you feel progress week after week. If you want a coach who looks at all sides of running: technique, mindset, and training, and who is on the track with you, correcting, motivating, and guiding you step by step, I’d be excited to work with you.

About Me:

I’m a 22-year-old decathlete, cross country, and mid-distance runner with experience competing both in Spain and across the United States, including conference and national-level meets. I started coaching at 16 in my hometown track & field club, and today I work with runners of all ages and levels, from people who want to start running safely to more advanced and Masters athletes chasing ambitious goals. My purpose is to help my athletes improve by considering the entire picture: technique, mindset, effective training structure, and enjoyment. As a current NCAA Division II student-athlete in the U.S., I understand firsthand what it takes to balance training, school, job, life, and competition, and I bring that experience into every session I coach.

How I can help you improve your game:

I can help you become a more efficient, confident, and resilient runner. We will work on your running form step by step so you move better, waste less energy, and reduce injury risk. I’ll also teach you how to manage the discomfort that comes with hard efforts, using simple mental tools to stay focused instead of overwhelmed. I explain the “why” behind each type of workout (easy runs, tempo, intervals, strength work), so you always know what we’re training and how it connects to your goals. My coaching style is positive, honest, and supportive: I’ll push you when you need it, but always with clear communication and respect for your current level.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical session starts with a dynamic warm-up and mobility focused on preparing your body for the specific work of the day. Then we move into technical drills (skips, A/B drills, strides, coordination work) to improve your mechanics. After that, we complete the main part of the session—this could be intervals, a controlled tempo run, or specific pace work—where I give you real-time feedback on form, pacing, and effort. We finish with a cool down, basic strength or stability exercises, and a short recap where I explain what we did, what you did well, and what we’ll focus on next time. My goal is that you leave every session feeling challenged, supported, and clear on your next step

Career summary and accomplishments:

In Kansas, I was recognized as the Outstanding Male Student-Athlete at my junior college. I have also been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as an All-Academic athlete for combining a 4.0 GPA with qualifying for national championships. In Spain, I hold the regional record of Murcia in combined events (hexathlon), and in 2023, I finished 15th in the United States NCAA Division II national championship in the heptathlon. I am also ranked in the top 10 all-time for the 8K at Neosho County Community College. Earlier in my career, I won two interprovincial meets on the east coast of Spain in shot put, placed 5th at the Spanish National Championship in combined events, and earned multiple regional medals in several track and field events. These experiences across different countries, events, and levels help me understand what it takes to perform, adapt, and keep improving over time.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I have ever had is my hurdles coach, Shulton Whitley. He was a professional 110m hurdler in the 1990s and ran 13.50, so his technical knowledge is extremely high. What makes him special is how clearly he teaches technique and how strong he is on mindset. He always gives simple, precise cues that immediately help you improve, and he knows how to motivate you and build a winning mentality. That combination of experience, teaching ability and mental coaching is why he is the best coach I’ve ever had

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that my purpose as a coach is simple: I coach to make people better and to help them enjoy the process. I genuinely care about the athletes I work with, and I am not satisfied unless I see them improving, feeling more confident, and having more fun with their sport. I always adapt to the person in front of me. I focus on technique, smart training, and mindset, but I never forget that there is a human being behind every performance. If I work with your son, daughter, or with you as an athlete, you can expect effort, consistency, and a coach who will not stop trying until he sees improvements.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you find yourself needing to cancel or adjust your booking within 24 hours of your purchase, just let us know. We'll provide a refund - no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to support your learning journey.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
