Hello! My name is Cady Garrett. Soccer has always been my passion, I first started loving it when I would watch my older brother play, and ever since then Ive always wanted to try it. After a couple of rough starts through club teams, I became the #1 player. Although I have played mostly defense side of the game, I have put myself out there and tried every position. I was my High School Caption for 3 years, club team captain for 6, and College captain for 2. Soccer is not only my passion, but the way of my life. When I'm on the field noting else matters. I would love to help and train anyone as much as possible, in whatever skill they are needing.

Ive played on 6 different travel teams. since I've started playing soccer at the age of 10.
Also my High School Varsity team, and was captain for 2 years.
After High School, I played in college at Truckee meadows community college for 2 years.
The main reason I was not able to continue in college was because of COVID, because of that I started playing for a fun adult indoor soccer team, winning 3 seasons in a row.
The way that I like to see it, isn't about your weaknesses its about your strengths.
Take myself for example, I was the fastest runner on my team, but I wasn't the best when it came to ball handling, so I switched positions and decided to play left defensive winger (instead of my normal position in center defense).
The main goal is to put you in uncomfortable positions so that the comfortable ones seem like nothing.
The number one important thing for me is communication, you can't have a silent game of soccer. I wasn't the best on on teams but I was the loudest and that gave me so many opportunities within games.
Training sessions vary depending on what the person/team needs improvement on. That can be anywhere from defense to offense to goal keeper.
But no matter what the position is we will work on them all.
Ive been coaching for about 3 years now, off and on. Ive coached the girls High school team back in my home town in Nevada. I was also the team captain for 2 years both in college and high school. There has been some private lessons I have also done in between.
The best coach I've ever had was my High School varsity soccer coach.
I grew up the youngest of 4 boys, so everything in my life has always been with a stern voice.
Coach Walt was the nicest coach but at the same time If we couldn't figure out simple plays or wouldn't pay attention during drills he would be stern on us, and actually get in our head.
I will always remember this one experience, It was an away game for my High School. We were practicing before the game and I just couldn't get into the groove, and my coach came up to me and told me that I am an amazing player but I need to " get my head out of my butt" because I can go so far if I'm confident in myself. As the game started one of my teammates was injured and no-one was stepping up to play her position. I had no past experience but I thought I would give it a try. I ended up playing very well, and played the whole game in that position.
It was the best day of my life because if my coach wouldn't have talked to me, and had faith in me, I would've never became who I am today.
I am very passionate about soccer. I feel so safe and at home on the field, wether its me playing or coaching someone else. So I would like to fair warn you now, that it might seem like I can come off mean and a touch coach but its just because I know the potential in everyone just like people saw it in me.

Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
