For 30+ years, I’ve helped young people steady themselves under pressure in sport, school, and life.
I’ve lived the anxiety/negative self-talk loop, which is why my coaching stays calm, practical, and straight to the point.
I’m currently completing requirements for the ICF ACC credential, so families know the work meets professional coaching standards.
I believe mindset is the missing pillar in youth development. Skills and reps matter, but when pressure spikes, perfectionism and doubt inevitably show up.

I help you turn pressure into your ally and see failure as nothing to fear. We’ll map your triggers, build a repeatable pre-performance routine, and lock in quick resets to bounce back after mistakes. We’ll rehearse big moments so they feel familiar, not scary. Result: steadier focus, calmer body, sharper decisions—so your best shows up when it counts (field, court, stage, or exam).
Check-in & focus: We start with a quick check-in, then pick a clear target for the session. Maybe you’ve got a big test and freeze even though you know the material, or you’re fighting negative self-talk at the free-throw line.
Find the “why”: We clarify why this matters. How will solving it improve your life or performance? What are the alternatives? How important is it right now?
Surface the blockers: We identify what’s actually in the way—internal pressure to live up to a sibling, a past bad experience, a critical teacher or coach, or other stories that fuel self-doubt.
Build tools you can use: We create simple, usable strategies to remove those barriers and quiet the noise: reframing negative self-talk, understanding pressure’s role, and learning quick resets and pre-performance routines.
Protect your mindset: We practice not tying your self-worth to a game, grade, or outcome—so pressure becomes your ally, not your enemy.
Wrap-up: You leave with 1–2 concrete actions to apply this week and a plan to review what worked next session.
30+ years coaching and mentoring teens (soccer, wrestling). Over two decades of leadership in the youth and amerature sports space. Led a youth 2000+ member youth sports organization with with kids first as a core principle. Youth-specialist: athletes and students (15–25), virtual or in-person workshops. Pursuing ICF credentialing; professional standards and ethics. Guided over 100 players to playing college soccer. Mentored thousands of players on the power of confidence.

I’m a dad to two competitive soccer players, a former college soccer player, an avid skier, a tennis addict, a dog lover, and—full disclosure—a guy who plays golf poorly. I grew up on the East Coast (PA) and have been proudly West Coast (OR) for over 20 years. I love working with young people to help them uncover the strongest version of themselves. My coaching gives them voice and agency—so they understand pressure, choose their response, and turn setbacks into information, not identity. Meet your coach in-person or virtually, and start chasing down your goals!
If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
