For over 25 years, I’ve played, coached, and developed players at every level, from youth leagues to adult tournaments. Basketball has always been more than a game to me; it’s been a teacher. I’ve learned discipline, teamwork, and how to grind through adversity, and now I help my athletes do the same.
As a certified personal trainer and lifelong student of the game, my approach focuses on the whole athlete — mind, body, and fundamentals. Whether you’re trying to sharpen your jumper, increase your basketball IQ, or earn a college roster spot, I meet you where you are and help you build from there.

My sessions blend technical skill work, game simulation, and individualized feedback to bring out the best version of your game.
Every session starts with a quick check-in. We talk about your last game, what went well, what didn’t, and how your body’s feeling after our previous workout. From there, I ask what you’d like to focus on that day, whether it’s shooting, footwork, conditioning, or something specific from game film.
Once we’re locked in on your goals for the day, we warm up with movements that prep your body for the work ahead. Each drill has a purpose, improving your efficiency, decision-making, and confidence on the floor. By the end of the session, you’ll know exactly what you improved on and what to carry into your next practice or game.
With a degree in Health, Sports, and Exercise Sciences, I’ve built a career grounded in understanding the body, movement, and performance optimization. As an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, I’ve guided athletes and clients toward achieving both physical and mental resilience through customized fitness and nutrition programs that promote long-term results. Beyond the professional certifications, my perspective is shaped by experience on the court. I still compete locally and nationally in Masters-aged basketball tournaments, keeping my competitive edge sharp and my connection to the game alive. This hands-on involvement fuels my ability to coach, mentor, and relate to athletes at every level. Throughout my career, I’ve balanced science and sport, helping others improve their performance, recover from setbacks, and develop habits that extend far beyond training sessions. My ongoing participation in competitive athletics keeps my approach relevant, disciplined, and athlete-driven.
Coach Bob Burke is my favorite coach because he saw potential in me that others didn’t. Even though I was undersized, he focused on what I did well instead of what I lacked. He took time to point out my strengths and taught me how to use them to my advantage. He coached with honesty, respect, and a sharp understanding of the game. More than anything, he made me believe that basketball isn’t just about size or talent; it’s about effort, awareness, and playing smart. His lessons went beyond the court and shaped how I approach both competition and life.
I take a holistic approach to training and recruiting. That means I care about how you play, but also who you are off the court. My goal is to build complete athletes: disciplined, confident, and ready for the next level.
Before we start working together, I always want to know how you’re feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally. Every session is based on where you’re at that day, not just a cookie-cutter plan. We’ll talk about your last game, what you felt went well, what didn’t, and what you want to improve. Then we build from there.
I believe in accountability and communication. I’ll be straight with you when something needs work, but I’ll also give you the tools and encouragement to fix it. I’m invested in your growth, whether it’s earning minutes, a scholarship, or just becoming the best version of yourself.
For parents, I want you to know that I value transparency. You’ll always know what we’re working on, how your athlete is progressing, and what opportunities are realistic for them. My role is to support your child’s goals while helping them understand the process, the grind, and the patience it takes to get there.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
