I have been playing soccer my entire life through elementary, middle, and high school as well as still playing now while going to school. I started independent coaching last summer and found it is something I am passionate about. My goal is to help instill confidence and motivation in young players to help them improve through practice. I believe confidence and self belief are essential in helping young players become better players because they are the future.

I have been playing officially since 7 years old, I joined my first club team when I was 11 and continued to play throughout middle and high school. My second year of high school I was the JV top scorer and was promoted to the varsity team for the rest of my high school career. With the varsity team we were able to achieve playoffs each year. I still continue to play soccer now during the week and competitively on weekends out of pure passion as well as seeing how far my personal playing career can go.
Through sessions and games I have experienced as a player I have learned many drills and words of advice to help players improve their game. The key in my opinion is to focus on the things the player is not as confident about and then build on those as well as working on other attributes. No matter what the position I believe every player's game can improve and the drills and sessions I have used for others as well as myself have deemed to work and improve players significantly.
A typical training session would start off with simple warm up and stretching. After that I think it's best to ask the player would what they would like to improve on. From there I will make drills t suit the players wishes and also help motivate and encourage them to continue. the end of the training sessions usually ends with a soccer-based game such as foot volley or of any sort, just as a cool down to wrap the session up.
I began coaching officially last summer. I was the coach for several children between the ages of 9-13. This helped me understand what players need to consistently improve and build belief in their ability. Coaching has always been an interest but due to previous summers being spent only playing, last summer was an opportunity to further improve my coaching skills which I feel helped alot from a personal standpoint. Through this experience I was able to see which drills work best as well as formulate new drills to continue to help players improve.
The best coaches I would say I had was my Junior Varsity high school coach my freshman year and my club coach my senior year. These coaches helped instill confidence and belief in me to believe in my ability and enjoy the game. This helped me mature a lot as a player because I played multiple positions growing up and thanks to my Junior Varsity coach, I was able to find my best position as a striker. Secondly my other coach helped me believe in myself to play in a position I was not familiar with, but through this experience learned a lot about others positions and their position as well as a better understanding of the game.
I am someone who is extremely passionate about the game of football / soccer. For me it's more than just a sport it's a way of life and also a way of connecting people from all over the world by having fun playing the game you enjoy. For me understanding this is a big part in becoming a better player overall. Coaching is another form of enjoying the game by helping younger players improve and have more confidence within themselves and their ability because they are the future.

After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
