Why Train With Me?

I excel at empowering athletes to be their best on and off the field. Are you passionate about the game of football? Are you looking to take your football skills to the next level? If so we share common goals, I thrive and take pride in coaching athletes to be the best player and leader they can be. In my past coaching positions I've been known for: • Being an excellent communicator and listener. When working with athletes. Explanation of how to correct issues is given with defined and easy to understand examples. • I am continuously learning to improve knowledge of the positions and incorporating these into the coaching sessions. • Offer a systematic and organized approach of technique and form that is needed to play the QB position. • Ability to diagnose areas that need to be improved upon and execute drills that will help the athlete develop the needed skills. • Each area of playing QB - throwing motion, footwork and reading defenses – is practiced and repeated until the athlete has become proficient and develops muscle memory of the skills. • Offers insight of how to mentally prepare and play the position at an optimal level, not only for the player but in regards to team mates also. • Challenges athlete to strive to get better by offering new drills and skills to learn, while developing leadership abilities at the same time. I look forward to hearing from you so we can start a program and unlock your full potential as a player and leader.

Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
As a coach I have 17 years of coaching high school football focusing mainly with the QB, RB and WR positions. Also the last 10 years I've spent time coaching QB's in private sessions from the youth to high school . During my coaching career I have experience with several offensive schemes and been the passing game coordinator at several programs.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I've been able to work with was during my high school years. He was a big influence both as a coach and mentor. What I liked most about this coach is being challenged, supported and mostly treated me like a person. I could talk to him about my life as a player but also as a person. He was a mentor who I still keep in contact with periodically.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am a positive person in mind, attitude and actions. Helping people be their best by offering support, mentoring and direction when needed is a my main strength as a person. Setting goals, being disciplined and direct are other traits I possess and feel these are essential when working with student-athletes and parents.

How can you help someone improve their game?
The ability to communicate why drills, technique and areas to improve are important for players to learn before playing in a game. When all of this becomes muscle memory it's makes the game much easier to know how to self correct when they are on the field. When corrections are made by a player more focus can be given to the game and being a leader.
What does a typical training session look like?
Typical sessions consist of: - Throwing technique and warm-up. - Foot work drills using ladders and hurdles. - Throw short - medium - deep pass routes from under center and shotgun. - Learn how to read defenses. - Cool down and review how session went and what to focus on before our next session.
