About Me:

I spent years competing in track and cross country throughout middle and high school, where I developed a strong foundation in endurance, discipline, and the mental focus required to perform at a high level. Those experiences sparked a lasting passion for fitness, perseverance, and continuous self-improvement. I also played basketball for several years, which broadened my understanding of teamwork, adaptability, and overall athletic development. While I no longer compete at the same level, I continue to play recreationally, staying connected to the game and the joy of movement.

In my work as a mental performance coach, I’ve had the opportunity to support 14U hockey athletes, high school teams, and college athletes, helping them strengthen confidence, focus, and resilience in competitive environments. Together, these experiences shape my approach to coaching, allowing me to connect with athletes at all levels and across disciplines while emphasizing the critical link between physical preparation and mental strength.

How I can help you improve your game:

I help athletes elevate their performance by applying Sport and Performance Psychology (SPP) strategies that strengthen both mind and body. Using techniques such as goal-setting, visualization, mindfulness, and effective self-talk, I build a mental foundation that enhances focus, confidence, and resilience. I also equip athletes with tools to manage pressure, navigate setbacks, and sustain motivation. By addressing the psychological side of performance, I help athletes compete with consistency, break through mental barriers, and reach their full potential in both practice and competition.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical mental performance session begins with a brief check-in to understand the athlete’s mindset, emotions, and any current challenges. From there, we establish a clear focus for the session—whether it’s improving concentration, building confidence, or managing anxiety.

We then move into targeted mental skills training, such as visualization to rehearse peak performance, mindfulness exercises to enhance present-moment focus, and self-talk strategies to reframe negative thoughts and build resilience. I also incorporate goal setting to ensure athletes have clear, actionable objectives and a strong sense of direction.

In addition, we work on tools to handle pressure, overcome setbacks, and maintain motivation in competitive environments. Throughout the session, I provide guidance and feedback to help athletes develop consistent mental habits that support high performance.

We close with a brief reflection on key takeaways and set intentional focus points for continued growth in training and competition.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I bring a diverse coaching background, including over two years as a performance coach at Exos, a recognized leader in human performance. During that time, I worked with professionals at various levels, helping them build both physical capacity and mental resilience to perform at their best. In addition, I have over 10 years of experience in personal training, helping individuals develop strength, discipline, and long-term performance habits.

My experience also includes working with 14U hockey athletes, high school teams, and college athletes, where I’ve helped individuals strengthen confidence, focus, and resilience in competitive environments. Beyond coaching, I’ve served as an adjunct instructor at a local community college, further developing my ability to teach, communicate, and connect with diverse groups of learners.

I also served as the head coach of a youth basketball team, where I built strong leadership skills and a deeper understanding of team dynamics while fostering confidence, skill development, and a genuine love for the game in young athletes.

Best coach I ever had:

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that I am deeply committed to helping individuals reach their full potential—both physically and mentally. As a former athlete, I understand the challenges competitors face and the critical role mental resilience plays in sustained success.

My approach blends real-world athletic experience with a strong foundation in Sport and Performance Psychology, allowing me to provide personalized strategies that enhance focus, confidence, and overall performance. I prioritize creating a supportive, growth-oriented environment where athletes can challenge themselves, build confidence, and overcome obstacles.

For parents, I emphasize balance, discipline, and a long-term growth mindset, ensuring that the athlete’s well-being, development, and enjoyment of sport remain the top priorities.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
