Hey everyone, I'm Savannah, but most people call me Sav. I'm heading into my second year at San Diego City College and play first base. I'm also a left handed power/line drive hitter. I'm 18 and have lived in San Diego my whole life. Softball is my biggest passion I've been playing since I was three so I have learned and grown with the game, and I'm still playing here at City College.
I've played softball for years, from recreational leagues to high school, travel teams, and now college. So, whatever level you're at, I've been there too. I can give players of all ages new insights and playing styles they haven't learned yet. When you train with me, we'll boost your skills because you can always improve. But we'll also work on your mental game, so you become the best player possible.
Every training session with me is tailored to the individual athlete because I believe that each person has unique needs in the game. Depending on what you need to focus on, we can emphasize either offense or defense. We'll concentrate on the true fundamentals to ensure that all your movements are correct. I’ll introduce various drills that target specific areas of the game, helping you improve in the ways that matter most to you.
I began my athletic journey around age three, playing in recreational leagues and smaller travel teams. In high school, I played at Madison High, maintained a 4.0 GPA, made varsity all four years, and captained the team for my final two. During my time at Madison, we were two year undefeated league champions, CIF Champions, and State Champions. I earned first team all conference recognition every year. I also played on the competitive travel team FireCrackers Brasher 18u, traveling the country to compete against top ranked teams. Currently, I'm a sophomore at San Diego City College, majoring in Business and maintaining a 3.9 GPA. As a freshman, I had a great season, earning all-PAC team honors with a .300 batting average and a .977 fielding percentage. I'm striving to continue both my athletic and academic career.
Throughout my playing years, many coaches have influenced me, but Coach Steve stands out as the one who truly shaped me. I met him around age ten, and he coached me until I was fifteen. Before him, I was an average player with big dreams but lacking skills. He saw my determination and dedicated extra time to help me improve. More than just skills, Coach Steve taught me that I am a strong person who can achieve anything I set my mind to. Though he wasn’t my coach forever, he still attends my games and encourages me to strive for more. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him, and I am forever grateful and will continue to make him proud.
As a coach, my goal is to create a welcoming and open environment for athletes and parents. I'm very hands-on and want every athlete to feel comfortable with our practices. I'll always walk athletes through each drill, showing them exactly what to do. I believe we learn best by seeing and doing, so I'll explain why we're doing each drill and how it helps, and I'll demonstrate it myself. I will never teach something I don't believe in. I also want parents to understand what we're teaching so they can help their athletes practice correctly at home. By explaining the drills, parents can support their children and reinforce good habits. Together, we can help athletes reach their full potential.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
