About Me:

Competitive Swimmer since the age of 6. Competed in regional, state, sectional, and national level swim meets. Regularly placing amongst top five in breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle events. Made Varsity as a freshman and throughout high school years. Invited to partake in several swim camps and trainings from high-level coaches and swimmers in the sport.

How I can help you improve your game:

I provide each swimmer with a structured and disciplined coaching style, focusing on the swimmer's abilities, growth, and development. My structure varies slightly depending on the swimmer's goals and ages. I hold all of my swimmers to high standards, ensuring swimmers understand the importance of commitment and effort. Individualized training routines are crafted to cater to each swimmer’s unique strengths and weaknesses, allowing for targeted improvements.

My experience from numerous trainings and swim camps allow me to meticulously analyze each swimmer's technique, providing detailed feedback to enhance performance. My coaching style aims to cultivate not only proficient swimmers but also resilient individuals who understand the value of hard work and continuous improvement. I am often regarded as a stricter coach who provides swimmers with someone they can relate to while pushing them out of their comfort zone for success.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

The first training session involves an overview and discussion with both the swimmer and parent to understand the current skill levels of the swimmer and their career goals. I watch the swimmer as they demonstrate each of the four strokes, their start, and their turns to me. From this point, I am able to develop individual workouts for each swim session and provide speed, strength, and technical growth. Workouts may include: sprint sets, dry-land exercises, breathing exercises, tapering for meets, and stroke breakdown.

Sessions following after the first meeting will prioritize both the swimmer and parent's goals. Individualized workouts with one-on-one conversations and explanations that are often not provided in a team workout help the swimmer to know what they are working on and how to be better. Unlike other coaches, I will often get in the water with the swimmer to give hands-on corrections, physical demonstrations, and provide more personalized training!

Career summary and accomplishments:

My coaching is a collaboration of my own experiences and knowledge gained from clinics, clubs, and trainings. My passion for compeitive swimming allows me to deeply care for each swimmers development and support them as they train and achieve their goals. While attending college, I taught the age-group swimmers on Swim Neptune from ages 5yrs to 12yrs old. These swimmers ranged from beginner to state and regional level competitors. I was the only coach who would often get in the water to give a visual demonstration to swimmers and help the master stroke development. I regularly attended weekend competitions, cheering for all of my swimmers. For the past four years, I have coached privately from children as young as 2yrs old, learning to swim, to high-school students wanting to become fearsome competitors on the swim team. I have swimmers who have gone from low-level swim club members to high ranking sectional qualifiers. In addition to privates, I am the assistant manager and one of the most sought after coaches at Big Blue Swim School - a swim program in Gilbert, AZ that teaches the basics of swim to all ages of children.

Best coach I ever had:

- Misty Hyman, gold medalist Olympian. Attended her swim programs where she broke down stroke techniques while prioritizing my own success at all times. Her friendly demeanor made her lessons so motivating!

- Coach Jen, my age-group coach who still coaches on Seadogs Swim Team. Her strict coaching style pushed me to do my best, holding high expectations of me since she knew what I was capable of.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

- I swam competitively since the age of six on numerous swim teams, often twice a day

- Attended high-level swim camps such as Nike Swim Camp, Misty Hyman's private lessons, Stroke Clinics, and more.

- Competed through regional, state, sectional, and national level competitions

- I am a certified EMT with an emphasis in pediatrics

- I have a bachelors in psychology with an emphasis in pediatrics from Grand Canyon University

- I am in the United States Navy Reserves

I do not own a private pool. Instead, I coach my students at their private or community pools for their lessons. There are also public pools with open swim hours I can coach at as well. I offer $50 for 45-minute sessions with additional prices for 30-min and 1-hr sessions. Additional children are an extra $10 per child to either rate, providing each child with their own workout and routine tailored to them. I have open weekend availability and morning/afternoon weekday availability.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
