I played High School football at Temple High School in Temple, Texas. This was my first and best exposure to a variety of training and coaching styles.
I have worked with many types of athletes throughout my career in Mental Performance as well as Strength & Conditioning. The pairing of these two allow me to truly understand and facilitate athletes seeking peak performance goals. Within this platform I am equipped to provide an evidence-based periodization aligned training program to develop athletes both physically and mentally for performance in their sport, game or life.
First sessions will always involve an intake activity allowing me to meet the needs of an athlete and work to build out an appropriate plan of action. All sessions will end with a tangible deliverable for athletes to take on and perform in-between sessions. Continued sessions will allow athletes to communicate with me how interventions worked or not to tailor programming to their needs and abilities. The effort, once again, is to work toward efficiency and termination of services so "busy work" will not be a part of what we do.
I have been a part of coaching youth sports since I was a high school student. My first team was a youth basketball squad at a local rec center in Temple, Texas. Since then I have studied coaching and coached high school football teams in California, Louisiana and Houston, Texas that have won 6 District Championships, 4 State Finals appearances and 2 State Championships. As a performance coach, I have worked with athletic teams and provided Mental Skills instruction for entire school communities, golfers, lacrosse teams, basketball teams, equestrian teams and incarcerated youth populations. These experiences have allowed me to meet and see youth athletes from a holistic view and a need to be efficient in the interventions provided to them.
I was fortunate to have worked on a coaching staff with two of my most formidable mentors. The Defensive Coordinator, Duece, taught me to always keep the most important thing central to what we were doing. The Special Teams Coordinator, Eric, showed me how to weaponize care and emotion and the attention to detail required to motivate athletes to pursue greatness. They both showed me the work necessary to get to- and most importantly stay - on the razor's edge of development and competition.
This is not a service that is intended to last forever. Our goal in Mental Skills coaching is to meet your athlete where they are and provide tools to advance their performance. We want to package the tools to where they can move toward TERMINATION of services rather than perpetually meeting.
This is also not a service that is intended to be an "affirmation hour". Your athlete will be accountable for their personal gains and while I will support them - they will be autonomous in their application of work and tools provided.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
