How can you help someone improve their game?
As a former track and field athlete, current PT student, and coach, I can help someone improve their game by combining my athletic experience, coaching expertise, and growing knowledge of physical therapy. I focus on analyzing their strengths and areas for improvement, then create customized training plans to enhance performance, technique, and overall fitness. By emphasizing injury prevention, recovery strategies, and proper biomechanics, I ensure they can train and compete safely and effectively. Additionally, my background helps me foster a growth mindset, build confidence, and teach discipline, which are essential for sustained success in any sport.
What does a typical training session look like?
Practices will focus on sprint-specific techniques, including acceleration mechanics and jump mechanics. Each session will begin with a thorough warm-up and cool down, followed by a tailored workout designed to meet the athlete’s needs, incorporating elements such as acceleration mechanics, jump techniques, and strength training. Each athlete will have access to practice objectives, goals, and schedule so they are informed and know what is expected during the session. I value transparent and strong communication. I want the parent, the athlete, and myself to be on the same page.
