Why Train With Me?

I have played at the college level, coached at the high school level, and am a huge fan of the game internationally. I want to do my part in sharing knowledge, skill, mindset, and passion for the sport I love. My hope is that with all of this, coupled with my background in Athletic Training, I can give your child the best chance to perform at his/her best to reach their goals as an athlete.

Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I had the pleasure of being raised in a neighborhood with many kids my age, so I spent most of my days outside playing and competing in a wide range of activities. This helped me prepare for my high school days when I decided to focus my energy on soccer. I was a four year varsity letterman and named co-captain as a senior. With two knee injuries during my college career, my days of competitive soccer were pretty much over but I never lost the passion for the sport. I was able to work my way back to playing in a men's league a few years after graduating college but I was never quite the same. Since 2017, I have been an assistant JV soccer coach and I am looking to share my knowledge and passion for the game with any who want to learn.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was my soccer coach during my senior year of high school. He was young, passionate, able to demonstrate certain skills, but most of all he was a player's coach. He had the ability to teach while listening to our questions and concerns, and trusted me and my teammates out on the pitch.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I love the game of soccer and have a background in Athletic Training. I am willing to put the time in to make sure your child improves, but I will not sacrifice their health and well being in order to make them sweat. There will be a purpose to my methods.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
As an Athletic Trainer, I have been around college, high school, and middle school coaches. I have learned from very successful and knowledgable coaches and want to work on my craft. Since 2017, I have been an assistant JV soccer coach and have had success each season. While coaching the JV soccer team, I also worked closely with the varsity coaches during preseason to help with the selection process. Since 2022, I have coached middle school basketball and baseball. This has allowed me to work with a wide range of athletes from ages 11-18.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I've listened to a lot of coaches over the years and it is my opinion that a great first touch will lead to an understanding of how to create time and space, which ultimately builds confidence with the ball. If an individual feels confident in his/her abilities that is the definition of a game changer.
What does a typical training session look like?
Training sessions will change dependent on how the individual is feeling. Every day is different, but you can always count on first touch and control drills to reinforce the importance of being confident with the ball. However, on any given day it may be a little more strength, lateral speed, or agility related.
