Basketball has always been at the core of who I am. As a former varsity athlete, I understand the discipline, physical demands, and mental focus it takes to compete at a high level. When an injury cut my playing career short, it sparked a lifelong passion to understand how athletes can move better, stay healthy, and perform at their best. Over the past six years, I’ve dedicated my career to bridging the gap between performance training and injury prevention. I earned my B.A. in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University, continually expanding my knowledge in biomechanics, movement efficiency, and evidence-based rehabilitation. I also hold my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS) certifications, which allow me to design structured, individualized programs that build strength, speed, and athletic power. I’ve had the opportunity to train athletes at every level—from youth to collegiate and professional—helping them improve performance, movement quality, and resilience. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that great athletes aren’t just built in the weight room—they’re built through consistency, intentional movement, and a commitment to doing the small things right. My mission as a coach is to help basketball players move efficiently, train intelligently, and develop the durability and confidence to thrive both on and off the court.

I help athletes improve their performance by combining individualized training with data-driven insights. Each program begins with a needs analysis, including metric-based testing such as speed, strength, and vertical jump assessments, to identify areas that need improvement. From there, I design structured programs that target those weaknesses while enhancing overall athleticism, movement efficiency, and injury resilience. This approach ensures athletes train smarter, make measurable progress, and maximize their potential on the court.
1. Warm-Up (10 minutes):
Dynamic stretches and mobility exercises to increase heart rate, blood flow, and prepare muscles and joints for movement.
Examples include leg swings, arm circles, lunges, and light jogging.
Basketball-specific movement prep, such as defensive slides and jump stops, to activate sport-relevant muscles.
2. Speed, Acceleration, Power, and Change-of-Direction Training (20 minutes):
Drills to enhance explosiveness, agility, and overall athletic performance.
Examples include sprint mechanics, resisted sprints, lateral shuffles, and plyometric exercises.
Focus on proper mechanics and efficiency to maximize speed and reduce injury risk.
3. Basketball-Specific Training (20-25 minutes):
On-court drills to improve shooting, ball handling, footwork, cutting, and court movement patterns.
Integration of strength, speed, and agility into basketball-specific movements to translate athletic gains into game performance.
Emphasis on decision-making, timing, and skill execution under fatigue.
4. Cool Down and Feedback (5-10 minutes):
Static stretching, foam rolling, and light mobility work to aid recovery and reduce muscle soreness.
Review the session, highlight improvements, and identify areas for continued focus.
Set individualized goals and outline next steps to optimize performance and durability.

The best coach I ever had was my varsity basketball coach, Coach Gordon. He instilled important characteristics in me at a young age—discipline, work ethic, and a commitment to excellence—that I still carry with me today. Those lessons continue to guide how I coach and mentor the next generation of athletes, helping them develop not only as players but as confident, resilient individuals.
I understand firsthand what it takes for athletes to reach the next level—mentally, physically, and emotionally. I combine performance training with injury prevention, helping athletes get stronger, faster, and more resilient while staying healthy. My approach focuses on building confidence, consistency, and habits that carry over both on and off the court, so athletes not only perform better but also feel prepared for the challenges ahead.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
