I train athletes to get out of their heads, block the noise, and play free.

Your mindset can either fuel you or hold you back. We uncover how self-talk, stress, and limiting beliefs show up in performance and rebuild from the inside out. I help athletes strengthen the space between their mind and body so they can stop overthinking and play with confidence. With a background in exercise science, chiropractic, and sport and performance psychology, I’ve spent years studying how the brain, body, and environment all influence performance. I like to dig deep and get to know how athletes think, what they expect from themselves, and where those expectations might be holding them back. My work blends science and real-world experience to help athletes manage pressure, find balance, and perform from a place of trust. Whether it’s building confidence, navigating burnout, or breaking through a plateau, I teach tools that translate into how they play, compete, and live.

Get to know Coach Callan

About Me:

Hello! My name is Callan, and I am a mental performance coach. Sports have been a huge part of my life, and I have been working with athletes since high school. If I'm not watching sports, playing golf or pickleball, at the gym, or running, I'm likely reading something related to neuroscience or psychology. I am deeply passionate about the human body and mind, and I love exploring the mind-body connection. I am a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and I love attending PGA Tour events.

How I can help you improve your game:

I help athletes improve their game by training the mind and body to work together. Whether you want to strengthen your mental game, manage transitions and expectations, handle burnout, or break through a plateau, our work focuses on building confidence, focus, and recovery skills that last. You’ll learn how to regulate your system, stay composed in high-intensity moments, and bring more consistency to your performance. The goal is to help you understand how your mind and body respond so you can perform with clarity, trust your preparation, and play at your full potential.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

1:1 sessions can mostly be held virtually. A typical session starts with checking in on what you've been experiencing, thinking, or just where you are at that day. We look at what’s been happening in your training or competition and identify what’s helping and what’s holding you back. From there, we work on building tools to improve focus, confidence, and recovery. That might include breathwork, visualization, or mental performance strategies that connect how your brain and body work together. Each session ends with something clear you can apply right away, so you leave feeling grounded, aware, and ready to perform at your best. If possible, there is a lot of value in observing and watching athletes in practice or in competition. This way, I can firsthand see body language and habits the athletes may not be aware of.

Career summary and accomplishments:

Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Health Promotion (Cabrini College); Doctorate of Chiropractic (Life University); Master's of Sport and Performance Psychology (Lock Haven University). Opened my own practice right after graduating with my DC, helping 300-500 patients per week for 5 years before selling it and making a career pivot. My Capstone was a comprehensive research project made into an applied workbook integrating neuroscience, physiology, and sport psychology to explore how the mind, body, energy, environment, and embodiment interact to optimize sustainable sport performance.

Best coach I ever had:

Working with basketball teams in both high school and college showed me that the best coaches form a family unit with their teams. You could really feel the difference each season when we had a cohesive group of athletes versus when the team energy was off. Great coaches really love their players, and it truly does come from the top.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I don’t believe in surface-level work. I like to dig deep and to understand how an athlete thinks, what drives them, and what gets in their way. I take the time to really get to know each athlete, their goals, and their mindset. This helps me help players develop the mental and physiological skills that support consistent performance. My background in chiropractic and sport and performance psychology allows me to look at the full system, how the mind, body, and environment all influence how an athlete trains, competes, and recovers. I teach athletes how to manage focus, confidence, and stress, while building awareness of what their body is signaling. Whether they’re looking to strengthen their mental game, come back from injury, or find balance through burnout, my goal is to help them perform with clarity, composure, and purpose, both on and off the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you find yourself needing to cancel or adjust your booking within 24 hours of your purchase, just let us know. We'll provide a refund - no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to support your learning journey.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
