My approach blends strength, movement assessment, injury-informed coaching, and sport-specific performance work so athletes and parents can stop guessing and build a clearer path forward. About Me:

I’m Bethany Busch, MS, ACSM-EP, CSCS, a former softball athlete and clinical strength coach based in Laguna Hills, CA, also available virtually.

I help female athletes build strength, movement confidence, power, and body awareness without generic training plans or push-through culture. My work is especially helpful for softball players and female athletes dealing with recurring pain, tight hips, shoulder fatigue, injury history, return-to-play concerns, heavy legs, or loss of confidence in their body.

Sessions focus on movement quality, strength fundamentals, sprinting/cutting mechanics, throwing and shoulder support, lower-body power, recovery habits, and helping athletes understand what their body is telling them.

Coaching style

My coaching style is supportive, detailed, and athlete-centered. I do not believe female athletes need to be yelled at to work harder. They need clear coaching, smart progressions, and an environment where they can build confidence, ask questions, and understand their body.

I coach with precision, encouragement, and respect for the athlete’s sport, season, injury history, and current capacity.

Parents often reach out when they can see something is off but do not know where to start. Their athlete may be saying “I’m fine,” but they are noticing heavy legs, a guarded shoulder, tight hips, recurring pain, hesitation after injury, or confidence slipping.

That is where my work begins. I help athletes and families stop guessing and identify the clearest next step.

The first session is designed to understand the athlete’s body, sport, goals, and current needs. We look at movement patterns, strength gaps, coordination, injury history, and where compensation may be showing up. From there, we build a clear plan that supports her performance without ignoring what her body is telling us.

I help female athletes stop surviving their workouts and start owning their performance. Standard fitness templates weren't built for your unique physiology, so we won't use them. I’ll assess your movement patterns, learn the specific demands of your sport, and build a strength plan that actually fits you. Whether you’re coming back from an injury, managing chronic pain, or just tired of being coached like a machine, I provide the clinical precision and emotional safety you need to move smarter, play harder, and stay in the game longer. What a typical training session looks like with me:

We start with you, your body, your energy, your goals. Recognizing that female physiology isn't a static template, I assess how you are moving that day and check in on what your body is holding, pain, fatigue, burnout, or frustration. Then we train. Not like a bootcamp. Not like a checklist. We move with intention, adapting in real time based on how your body responds. I’ll provide clinical cues, challenge your strength, and adjust instantly if something feels off. Every rep is tailored to your unique biomechanics. You’ll leave feeling stronger, smarter, and more in charge of your body than you’ve ever felt. No shame. No fluff. Just real coaching that works.

I learned how to coach by experiencing exactly how not to do it. Throughout my athletic journey, I was surrounded by coaches who relied on rigid templates, yelled through injuries, and ignored female physiology. I never had a coach who provided true emotional safety or clinical expertise. So, I became that coach. Every certification I’ve earned and every program I write is dedicated to ensuring that the athletes I work with never have to experience the frustration of being misread or miscoached.

For Athletes: I coach athletes who’ve been misread, miscoached, or pushed past their limits. My job is to learn your sport, study how your unique body moves, and build training that actually fits. I’ve coached through injury, chronic pain, and comeback seasons. Every session is live, adaptive, and built around your goals—not mine. I don’t do shame. I don’t do templates. I do strength that lasts.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
