Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I’ve been passionate about sports for as long as I can remember. Basketball has been a lifelong love, and I’ve been fortunate to earn numerous Best Defensive Player awards throughout my career. In addition to basketball, I’ve also competed in track and softball, which have shaped my athleticism and discipline.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
I’ve been lucky to have two incredible coaches who have deeply impacted me. My middle school basketball coach taught me the fundamentals of the game and instilled discipline in me as a young athlete. She believed in my potential and gave me the opportunity to play as a 6th grader, even though she held us to high standards. My second coach is my father. He’s been my constant source of strength, teaching me resilience and toughness that I’ve carried into every sport I’ve played.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am currently a Graduate student studying mental performance coaching and will be complete in Summer 2025. So far I have worked with high school lacrosse, boys and girls basketball, golf, volleyball, and football players. and parents should know that I am deeply committed to helping others reach their fullest potential. I believe in working hard and staying determined, and I bring that same energy to my coaching. My philosophy is holistic—I focus on developing the whole athlete, not just their performance in the sport.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I volunteered as a basketball coach for two years at my former middle school, working alongside the same coach who mentored me during my playing days. It was an incredible experience to give back and help young athletes grow while applying the lessons I learned as a player. I have worked with players on mindset changes, building confidence in their skills, and moving past their mistakes. I help players set goals for the season and upcoming season that will give them the best possible outcome in their sport.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I specialize in helping athletes perform better under pressure by teaching them how to stay calm and focused on the task at hand. Through my training, I help them develop a next-game mentality, allowing them to quickly move past mistakes, reset their mindset, and confidently tackle the next challenge.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical training session begins with an assessment and evaluation to identify the areas that need the most attention. From there, I create a customized plan tailored to the athlete's needs. During each session, we discuss topics such as self-talk, performance anxiety, or teamwork in an interactive, two-way conversation. After our discussion, I guide the athlete through a hands-on task or exercise related to the topic, and we reflect on it together. To ensure continued progress, I assign tailored homework to keep the athlete engaged and applying what they’ve learned until our next session.
