Get to know Coach Alicia

About Me:

Huff, Puff, and Triumph- Thank you for considering me for your coach! I would be happy to work with you! I am a results-driven health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, and elite mindset professional. I am known for fun, time-efficient, and effective training methods to achieve vast results.

How I can help you improve your game:

I make personalized, time-efficient, and fun physical training or elite mindset training to guide you to be the best you can be in sports and life. I teach athletes how to get in tune with their body to improve their sport performances.

I provide gait and running form analysis, if interested.

Some of my results include the following:

1.) Youth runners improve running speed and efficiency 2-16% in just 4 hours. These results are in a group setting.

2.) In a personal 1:1 setting, I have helped athletes remove 2 minutes - 14 minutes off their best distance run times (5k and above) within 30 days.

3.) After one session of personal elite mindset training, my athletes have set huge personal bests, won a competition, or set a competition record.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

1.) I get to know the athlete and their goals or any obstacles they are trying to overcome.

2.) I then go through mindset training to get the mind and body in gear. We will also go through a stretching routine to prevent injuries.

3.) We will perform a routine that is conducive to their goals (all dependent on their goals). It could be related to strength, speed, endurance, plyometrics, calisthenics, running, drills, agility training, balance, or core training etc. *Every day is different in training as the training builds as progress is made.

*If I meet an athlete in person, the Cherry Lake Park is awesome because there are fields for running and they have a state-of-art Fitness Court for bodyweight training. Additionally, I may bring equipment to the location.

Career summary and accomplishments:

My athletic career began as a highly- motivated self-coached athlete at age 12. My goal was to work my way to the top and compete in national and international competitions. From 1995-1998, I was the only female track and field athlete qualifying and competing on the national level in 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, 10,000m, and 5K cross country. I was the only female high school runner to be 2 x 10,000 meter All American. I won a gold medal, silver medal, and 2 bronze medals at National Championships at that time. I was also an elite triathlete and qualified for my first world team at age 19. I represented the USA in my first world triathlon championship in 2000 in Perth, Australia. I ran varsity track and cross country for University of Florida under the tutelage of Olympic Coach, JJ Clark, and graduated in 2002. By this time, I knew what it took mentally and physically to keep improving as an elite athlete and I could transfer my skills to others. In 2004, I turned pro in triathlon and I was selected for 3 World Teams as a Pro triathlete/duathlete. My last pro race was in 2008 at a Sprint Triathlon National Championship where I placed 9th. I was an elite triathlete for 17 years total. I then moved on to new challenges and other sports. I competed in open water swimming, stand up paddle boarding, sprint kayaking, mountain running, trail running, beach running, cross country, Concept 2 sports (Row Erg, Bike Erg, Ski Erg), archery, obstacle races, cycling, and world record breaking in strength and endurance events. I was first recognized as the world’s most prolific female record setter in 2012 after setting 188 world records that year (all in physical fitness). So far, I have competed in 25 National Championships and 23 World Championships. I have won National, North American, and World Championship titles. I have been coaching for over 25 years. However, I have been specifically coaching youth (ages 3-18), since 2013 when I created my own archery fitness sports league in Central Florida. Sixty percent of my youth participants call my events their first competitions. Some of my athletes have gone on to get college scholarships and compete at the elite level. Although, my personal experiences and coaching career gives me the greatest skillset to guide people quickly to goals, my education also has helped. I am an advocate for wellness and injury prevention techniques. I am a published author of 4 books. I have degrees in Telecommunication and Biology. I was then in a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, but left half-way thru to pursue medical massage therapy. One of my career highlights has been being selected as the Stretching Coach and Massage Therapist for a Pro Track team from 2015-2016. Most of the athletes went on to win medals at the 2015 World Relays and 2016 Olympics. You can learn more about me at www.aliciaweber.com

Best coach I ever had:

My dad was my inspiration to become an athlete! I went to watch him do a triathlon when I was 4 years old and I chased after him with a swim cap on yelling, “I will be doing these triathlons someday!”

My parents were both into health and wellness and prepared me for longevity in sports. We always had a long-term vision.

The only coach I ever wanted was JJ Clark and I wanted to run track and cross country at UF! I made my dream come true when I ran varsity track/xc under the tutelage of Olympic Coach JJ Clark at University of Florida and graduated in 2002.

Aside from my time at UF, I have been a self-coached athlete.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Just as I have been raised with a long-term vision for versatility, consistency, and longevity in sports, I can help parents and their kids keep a healthy and fun outlook on sports. There is a process with conditioning with over 650 muscles in the body - I strive to help athletes improve performance and prevent injuries. I can also provide guidance with school, competing in college as an athlete, and how to prepare to be a college athlete.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you find yourself needing to cancel or adjust your booking within 24 hours of your purchase, just let us know. We'll provide a refund - no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to support your learning journey.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
