While I didn't play sports at the collegiate level, I stayed actively involved in recreational volleyball, swimming, and basketball throughout college. During high school, I struggled with self-doubt, which led to inconsistent performance. I often gave up too quickly, lacked the motivation to improve, and hesitated to seek help. However, everything changed after I graduated when I connected with a sports psychology coach. Through their guidance, I developed mental skills that not only enhanced my performance but also helped me foster a positive team culture within my recreation teams. Visualization and self-talk became my keep tools for success. Today, my goal is to instill that same confidence and mental resilience in high school athletes, so they can reach their full potential and pursue their dreams of playing college sports.
I help athletes elevate their performance by first instilling core values that align with who they are, like belief, perseverance, courage, and resilience. Without a deep belief in their ability to grow—through hard work, setbacks, losses, and plateaus—athletes can’t truly improve. Simply masking the issue is like applying a band-aid: it offers temporary relief but leaves lasting scars. To create lasting change, we must address the root cause of the challenge. While future hardships are inevitable, by confronting and overcoming the underlying issues, athletes will not only regain control but emerge stronger and more capable.
At the end of each session, I encourage athletes to reflect in their journal daily, focusing on the skills and techniques we discussed. I'll leave them with a thought-provoking question or challenge to work through until our next meeting. Each new sessions begins with a review of the previous session (briefly), discussing how they applied the skills throughout the week, and I always ask if there's anything specific they want to address. I avoid overly structured sessions, as I believe flexibility fosters a more natural and effective dialogue. Instead, I empower the athlete to guide the conversation (as this gives them a sense of autonomy), while I support them in navigating real-world scenarios and provide tailored techniques to enhance performance or address any challenges they may be facing.
I have over three years of experience coaching and collaborating with athletes and coaches across Basketball, Softball, Swimming, and Baseball. In addition, I served as a Mental Resilience Trainer with the U.S. Army. One of my proudest achievements was designing and implementing a mental performance program for a high school girls' basketball team. Starting from scratch, I worked closely with the athletic director and coaches to create a comprehensive program. Thanks to the dedication of the athletes and collaboration with the coaching staff, the team made history by reaching the CIF playoffs for the first time. The following season, they went on to win their first CIF league championship, a testament to their commitment to growth and mental toughness.
My best coach was Coach Johnitta, my volleyball coach, whose unique background in the military shaped her coaching style. Her approach was a blend of tough love, motivation, and understanding. She didn't just focus on developing athletes' skills; she aimed to cultivate self-sufficiency and courage, pushing us to face our fears and continuously improve. At the time, her tough approach felt frustrating as a high school athlete, but now, I deeply appreciate how she held us to high standards, helping me become not just a better player, but a stronger individual.
Athletes and parents should know that as a mental performance coach, I approach each session with compassion and dedication. Each athlete has a unique story, and it is my goal to create sessions and a training program that fits their needs. I am dedicated to doing all that I can to help your athlete succeed, but will place an expectation in them that the work is not one sided, if they want results, they have to do the work, but I will be here to help.

Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
