Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
With a passion for developing athletes on and off the field, I bring six years of coaching experience at multiple competitive levels, including varsity, junior varsity, and middle school. A former high school player with a deep love for the game, I transitioned into coaching shortly after graduation and have since played an integral role in the success of numerous teams. The teams I've been a part of have achieved remarkable accomplishments, including a Junior Varsity State Championship in 2021 and impressive performances at national championships with runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2024. Many of the athletes I have helped mentor have earned all-conference honors and successfully continued their careers at the collegiate level. In addition to team coaching, I have been providing private lessons for nearly a year, focusing on individualized skill development and performance optimization. As a detail-oriented coach, I prioritize teaching elite-level mechanics and fundamentals, from the most basic techniques to the advanced. My coaching philosophy is rooted in mental training, emphasizing the three critical aspects of softball: the mental, visual, and physical components. Currently, I am completing an elite-level hitting certification course designed specifically for coaches through an accredited professional training program. This ongoing education underscores my commitment to continuous improvement and staying at the forefront of the sport. I am best known for my ability to push athletes beyond their comfort zones with high expectations and a firm yet respectful approach. I foster an environment where players are encouraged to play with joy, creativity, and freedom while maintaining a competitive edge. I Believe that softball is more than just a game, and as such, I inspire my athletes to embrace challenges, think outside the box, and strive to become the best versions of themselves on and off the field.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
Throughout my playing, my High School volleyball coach was the best I ever had. She always taught me to push myself past all my limits of being comfortable, and to work hard and commit myself to excellence. She was very impactful on the trajectory of my life and is one of my biggest inspirations.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Athletes and parents should know that I’m deeply committed to developing well-rounded athletes, not just in their physical skills but also in their mental and visual approach to the game. My coaching philosophy focuses on mastering fundamentals while fostering resilience and confidence through mental training. I challenge athletes to step out of their comfort zones, push themselves to new heights, and play with joy and creativity. I believe in respecting every athlete while holding them to high standards that prepare them for success on and off the field. My goal is to help each player become the best version of themselves, both as athletes and individuals.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I have six years of experience coaching softball at various levels, including varsity, junior varsity, and middle school. I began coaching shortly after graduating high school and have been fortunate to contribute to several successful teams, including a JV State Championship in 2021 and varsity runner-up finishes at national championships in 2023, and 2024. In addition to team coaching, I’ve been giving private lessons, focusing on individualized player development.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I help my athletes improve their game by focusing on different aspects of training. I break down mechanics starting with the fundamentals, ensuring solid, efficient, and repeatable skills, and building from there up to the advanced mechanics. My approach is very detail-oriented—I use drills and personalized feedback to address individual needs. I incorporate mental training to build confidence, focus, and resilience, which are crucial for high-level performance. I challenge athletes to push beyond their comfort zones while providing a supportive and respectful environment. My goal is to help each player maximize their potential and enjoy the process of continuous growth.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical training session is structured, efficient, and focused on continuous improvement. Depending on the lesson type, I start the athlete with a dynamic warm-up specific to the lesson to activate muscles and prevent injuries, followed by throwing progression drills to reinforce proper mechanics. Next, we work through fundamental skill development, whether it's hitting, fielding, or pitching, depending on the athlete's goals. I incorporate drills that challenge the mental and visual aspects of the game, teaching players to stay focused and make adjustments quickly. Throughout the session, I give detailed, real-time feedback that's needed to fine-tune mechanics. I always try and finish the athlete's training session with a mental training component to build confidence and resilience, helping athletes carry that mindset into competition.
