Personalized Lessons With The Best football
Trainers in Suaharita

“If you or your child are serious at all about getting better at the QB position, you have a golden opportunity right in front of you. He blends the nuances of the position with many different drills that are both fun and challenging. We’ve covered so many things from footwork, ball placement, displacing the hip, and mesh technique. The best part, he’s an even better young man and is an inspiration for my son.”

“He is getting my 14 yr old ready for high school football. My son is hoping to be starting quarterback next season. They are working on footwork, mechanics, reading defense & speed & agility. Looking forward to continued training.”

“We just had our first session and I can’t say enough great things. My son is playing tackle for the first time as an offensive lineman and his session with Coach helped him tremendously. It’s hard to find a good offensive line coach and we feel fortunate to have found him.”

Why We Created Athletes Untapped

Sahuarita Football: Position Skills and Game-Day Execution

Football in Sahuarita is a community-wide passion, and the competition on the field is always high. Our program is built on the idea that every player, no matter their position, needs to be a master of the “fundamentals.” We help quarterbacks improve their accuracy, receivers catch with their hands, and linemen win the battle at the line of scrimmage. By focusing on “first-step” explosiveness and smart tactical play, we prepare Sahuarita athletes to be the best versions of themselves when they strap on the pads for Friday night lights.

Quarterback Accuracy and Developing a Quick Release

A great quarterback needs to be both a leader and a “precision-passer.” We focus on the “footwork-to-throw” connection, ensuring the QB has a balanced base before they ever let the ball go. By practicing a “high-release” and a quick “flick-of-the-wrist,” athletes learn how to get the ball to their receivers faster and with more accuracy. We also work on “reading-the-field,” teaching quarterbacks how to look off defenders and find the open man in the secondary, which is key to moving the chains in any Sahuarita football game.

Receiver Skills: Catching with the Hands and Route Running

To be a top receiver, you have to be able to create “separation” and catch the ball with your hands, not your body. We focus on the “diamond-shape” hand position for catching and the “foot-fakes” needed to get open against tough defenders. Our coaching emphasizes “clean-routes,” showing players how to “break-down” and “cut” with speed to leave defenders behind. By mastering the “catch-and-tuck” technique, Sahuarita receivers ensure they secure the ball and are ready to make a big play after the catch.

Lineman Fundamentals: Hand Placement and Winning the Edge

The game is won and lost in the “trenches,” and that’s where the best linemen shine. We teach offensive and defensive linemen how to use their hands to control their opponent and how to maintain a “low-pad-level” for maximum leverage. By practicing “lateral-movement” and “explosive-starts,” athletes learn how to win the battle at the line of scrimmage. We emphasize “footwork-and-balance,” ensuring that our linemen are difficult to move and can protect their quarterback or get to the opposing ball carrier.

Defensive Pursuit and “Head-Up” Tackling Technique

Great defense is about “pursuit” and “finishing-the-play.” We teach players how to take the right “angle” to the ball carrier to ensure they don’t get outrun. Our coaching focuses on the “safe-and-solid” tackling technique, emphasizing “seeing-what-you-hit” and “wrapping-up” to bring the opponent down. By practicing “gap-responsibility” and “team-defense,” Sahuarita players learn how to work together to stop the run and shut down the opposing team’s passing game.
