Gene and Elaine Williams founded Athletes Untapped to link aspiring athletes with vetted private coaches for one-on-one training. As former college athletes and private coaches, they loved mentoring kids but noticed a lack of tools for coaches to grow their reach. Inspired by platforms like Airbnb and Rover, they built AU to empower coaches and transform young athletes’ lives. Backed by their experience in tech and sports, Gene and Elaine aim to expand access to impactful coaching that helps young athletes excel both on and off the field.
Ice hockey training can help players stand out on the ice. That’s why Athletes Untapped coaches focus on skating skills, shooting, and agility - teaching players how to maneuver around opponents and play with confidence. Equally important though is puck handling - dedicated practice enhances control and passing, ensuring players can maintain possession and create scoring opportunities.
