Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I have been working primarily with High School and Collegiate student-athletes for 15+ years. I have also worked with a few professional athletes as well. I have a Doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology, and I have been a Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology since 2022.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My little league baseball coach, Willie Stephens is my all-time favorite coach. "Coach Will" introduced me to competitive sports at a very young age and created the foundation upon which I would go on to build a career in sports, working with athletes and other performers. I learned competitiveness, high expectations, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the value of winning under his tutelage. Thanks, Coach!
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Athletes and parents should know that I take a holistic approach to working with clients. My expectations is that each client becomes much more self-aware, learn some useful new strategies, and become better versions of themselves as people and as athletes with my help. Each individual is the one true expert on themselves, and I believe that we we each have the capacity within to find solutions to any issue we face.

How can you help someone improve their game?
Self-awareness is always the first step to improved performance. Once one can recognize the areas of improvement, then we can seek specific strategies of improvement. There are no shortcuts to performance improvement. However, having someone with the knowledge and skills to train the brain to approach performance the right way, and to respond to setbacks the right way can make all the difference in the world.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical individual session would be conducted virtually, most likely, where I would ask the right questions to get to the source of the presenting issue(s). From there we will work together in collaboration to find the right tools and resources to meet the issues and work toward a resolution. I will always allow the client to express themselves openly, honestly, and without judgement. I always take an unbiased approach and allow clients to explain to me what they would like to see improved. I approach all clients with humility and empathy, but I also like to set the bar high for their improvement.
