Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My best coach was in high school, but only worked with her for two years during my high school years. She taught me how to believe in myself. She pushed me to my limits while always making sure I knew she believed in my potential. Her passion for the sport was contagious, and she created an environment where everyone felt valued and motivated to improve.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I prioritize developing not just skilled athletes but well-rounded individuals. I believe in fostering a positive and supportive environment where athletes feel empowered to push themselves and grow. My coaching style emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and resilience, both on and off the court. I value open communication with both athletes and their families, ensuring everyone is aligned in achieving both personal and team goals. My goal is to inspire confidence, instill a strong work ethic, and help athletes realize their full potential while maintaining a love for the game.

What does a typical training session look like?
A typical basketball training session begins with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body, including light cardio, dynamic stretches, and basic ball-handling drills to get the hands and feet ready. The session then moves into skill development, focusing on essential areas like dribbling, shooting, and passing, using drills designed to improve technique and consistency. Next, game-specific drills are introduced to simulate real scenarios, such as practicing offensive moves, defensive positioning, and transition plays to enhance decision-making and teamwork. Conditioning follows, with activities like sprint intervals, agility drills, and plyometric exercises to build endurance and explosiveness. The session concludes with a cool-down, incorporating light stretching to prevent soreness and a review to highlight progress, address areas for improvement, and set goals for the next practice.
